Join Cumberland, Maryland in celebrating our transportation heritage. Enjoy three fun-filled days of activities including train excursions, live music, children's activities, fireworks, canal boat tours, and more!
Great food and traditional crafts are available for sale beginning Friday night.
The Allegany County Tourism and The Canal Place Authority are providing free transportation between Cumberland and Frostburg Friday (Sept 25th) and Saturday (Sept 26th) evening during Canalfest/Railfest. The trolley will run from 5 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m. and make stops in downtown Cumberland, on Frostburg State University’s campus, Main Street in Frostburg, as well as along Route 40 between Frostburg and LaVale. Each ‘loop’ will take approximately one hour to complete. Be safe, have fun! Use free public transportation!
